Richard Northup

Richard Northup, President of Pleasant Valley Solutions, Inc., has been in various businesses since 1978 and has continued to expand and branch out into new fields since that time.  In 1994, along with Master Gardener Diana Morkassel, he started a series of Greenhouse projects, also including Brother, Darien.  Soon others in the family joined them. This has been an ever-expanding operation since that time, involving many other members of the family. When Brother Ron bought into Wayne's Lawn Service, Inc. of Thief River Falls, Rick decided to follow suit and join him in a much larger operation, expanding into the fields of landscape design and maintenance, as well as professional outdoor lighting designs for residential and commercial locations. In the meantime, Darien has been learnig the construction trade and when he gets his General Contractor's License, we expect to expand into all kinds of Home Improvement, including building new houses. We already have a General Contractor and Architect on board in the person of Rick's Nephew, David Samuelson, who has designed major projects in both Commercial and Residential venues. We are looking at this Enterprise as an opportunity for everyone in the Greater Northup family who wishes to be able to lend his particular area of expertise. Brother, Ron, has been with the State of Minnesota Highway Department for years and has road-building expertise, and is a Surveyor.
