"The Ribald, Blue Balled Prince"

In response to Dan's question about Prince and his manhood...
The vet will come over, give him a shot of anesthetic in a vein, and hold on to the rope while he staggers a bit, and then lies down. She will remove his stallionhood with a sharp knife and crimp the large blood vessels for a few minutes with some kind of tool that crushes and holds, kind of like a big pliers (I can't remember what it's called) while he moans and groans a bit. She'll spray him with blue coat or some type of antibacterial spray, then watch him while he comes to and walks around in a daze for a bit. If he's not bleeding too much, she'll hand over the bill and leave. The little boys that were watching will have pained looks on their faces, and vow never to be a horse or trust a big woman with a needle, as the dog walks away with his new trophy.
Maybe this was a little graphic,
Sorry,
Cris
P.S.
I found out what the tool is called. It is fittingly called an "emasculator", which crimps and cuts the vessels of the spermatic cord. There is a nut on the tool, and a rule to go with it, "nut to nuts". This insures that the crimping part which comes down first is above the cutting part which comes down after the crimping. The vessels are crimped closed at a point slightly above the place where they will be cut. The operator holds the tool closed for a few minutes to make sure the crimp holds. If the vessels are not overly developed, the horse shouldn't bleed.
