8th Day of January

By Dee Persinger; January 8, 1999

Tis the 8th day of January as I dab at my eye
Tis the poems and the letters that have made me cry.
Some tears of gladness, like for Rick's refrain;
Some tears of sadness, to feel Larry's pain.
Sharing and caring, warmth, knowledge and wit...
So proud of Faith for that habit she quit.
Proud of neice Cheryl; can any task daunt her?
Boys, dogs, and her Grandpa...who wouldn't want her?
My brothers and sisters, cousins and kin
You dumfound, amaze me, this family I'm in.
How can anyone be more wealthy than I?
Thank you, thank you, for making me cry!!!
